Lidah mereka tak lepas dari lantunan ayat suci Al-Quran yang ada dalam dada mereka, zikir, tasbih, dan doa juga selalu membasahi lidah mereka. 48 jam berada di dalam parit yang luasnya tidak lebih dari 2 m2 dengan bekal air dan korma. Yang ada pada diri mereka adalah JIHAD….menang…atau mati syahid.

Mereka adalah satuan khusus Brigade Izzuddin Al-Qassam, sayap militer Gerakan Perlawanan Islam, Harakah Al-Muqawamah Al-Islamiyah (Hamas). Pasukan yang sejak lama disiapkan dan sangat terlatih.

Seluruh anggota pasukan khusus ini dapat menggunakan berbagai senjata yang biasa digunakan oleh tentara teroris Israel. Mereka ditempatkan di garis depan yang memiliki tugas khusus menghadang dan langsung merangsek ke barisan musuh.

Mereka menempatkan diri beberapa hari di dalam parit-parit untuk menyambut kedatangan pasukan teroris Israel ke pusat Gaza. Operasi ini sudah di mulai sejak awal serangan darat Israel pada tanggal 3 januari 2009 lalu hingga saat ini.

Abu Mu’adz, salah seorang pimpinan teras atas Brigade Al-Qassam dan juga sebagai pelatih pasukan khusus ini mengatakan : “Secara tidak berlebihan, saya ingin menegaskan bahwa pasukan khusus ini sangat menikmati operasi ini. Mereka memiliki kebulatan tekad, kesabaran yang tinggi, keyakinan yang kuat, mental yang sangat tegar”.

Abu Mu’adz juga menambahkan bahwa sebagai besar anggota pasukan khusus ‘hantu pencari mati’ ini hafal Al-Quran 30 juz dan selebihnya mereka hafal lebih dari setengah Al-Quran. Seperti halnya 70 sahabat Rasulullah SAW yang hafal Al-Quran dan syahid dalam perang Yamamah.

Pasukan ini sudah terlatih sejak lama. Mereka sengaja disiapkan untuk melakukan perang terbuka melawan tentara Agresor Israel dan melakukan penyergapan yang terorganisir dengan rapi terhadap tentara zionis Israel. Sebelumnya Al-Syahid Mahmud Al-Rifiy, salah seorang pasukan ini, telah menghantam pasukan khusus tentara Agresor Zionis yang telah memasuki wilayah tersebut. Dia berhasil meledakkan beberapa bom yang menewaskan dan melukai beberapa tentara musuh. Yang Kemudian dia syahid diberondong oleh helikopter Apache milik tentara Zionis.
